It was an amazing journey for IPSEC and for me it was a learning experience. Being an entrepreneur, you have to take on many responsibilities and certainly many parts of my work involve planning and keeping abreast especially on technologies developments and trends. Along the journey of 8 years, IPSEC was privileged to participate in many big and high profile projects such as IKEA TebrauCity, Verde Palm, Sakura Ferroalloys, Four Point Hotel by Sheraton, Amerald and many more.
We had also signed up a partnership with Honeywell Security and United Technologies (UTC) to distribute and market their products. These partnerships are very important milestones because of their branding and products superiority. We are lucky to have given the opportunity to work with these giant companies. On the Video Content Security (VCA), IPSEC had signed a collaboration partnership with a Singapore leading Video Analytics company, Cyrus Innovations. Other than that, in 2017 we were privileged to enter into tripartite (TM One & OCN)Â join bidding of Petronas RAPID Package 14 tender, tender estimated around RM 40 million to RM 50 million. Although our team was not successful however it was a great learning curve to attend many meetings, presentations and interviews. The tender preparation works, documentations and details were immense and massive.
My previous working experience in the IT industry for more than 15 years had been useful for me to venture into tech and engineering related business. I had observed that for the last 10 years there have been many advancements in building technologies, in particularly video surveillance, access control, intrusion alarm, audio, video, broadband and multimedia. We saw many migrations from silo system to integrated and IP based system. Whereby, you can have multiple systems integrated into single cabling infrastructure.
We had seen a large leap and advancement on Fiber Optic. Many companies roll out FTTH products from core to edge and last miles. IPSEC has the privilege to be able to complete a few major FTTH internal and external last mile Telco links for a few high rise development projects. Some of the projects were IOI Pine 3, Tropicana Garden RT4 and etc.
The last 2 years have been amazing especially in Video Content Analytic (VCA), we saw the market adoption of Artificial Intelligent or AI, many companies had launched machine learning products, some of the products offering can analyze massive amounts of data and produce a sequence of patterns or results matching reports. We had signed up as Hikvision DSP to market and distribute their range of security products.
We are proud to say IPSEC has implemented LPR or ANPR projects for Iskandar Malaysia (under SAFE city) and NTT Cyberjaya.
Moving forward, the next 5 years roadmap I hope to lead IPSEC to achieve more milestones and we hope to produce our own products in near future. Thank You.
